Our Philosophy and Background:
Happy Stars Academy has served child care for Flagler County families since 2005.
Started as a family day care, we grew to a multilingual child care center which offers a structured program with a year round curriculum for children of ages 12 months to 10 years old.
Our activities include school readiness skills, arts and crafts, games, music, outdoor play and story time.
- Our professional and devoted team protects, nurtures and educates toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children in a wide range of childcare programs.
Our children develop positive social skills and well-rounded ideals. The enduring principles of patience, kindness, love and faith are instilled daily through teacher example and age appropriate play, projects and activities. We provide a stable and protected learning environment that fosters a solid foundation for lifelong success.

What we do
Speech Therapy
Our center offers Speech Therapy services for children who need it.
It will be individual sessions during the day care hours. Parents also can be during the session as we have separate rooms.

Creative curriculum on Multilingual Languages: English, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian and more with age-appropriate physical activities daily. Frog Street Pre-K Curriculum.
- Choosing Toys: Children learn to make decisions and work on their abilities. They find toys by themselves and with others. Set up an environment for play. Children learn to express needs, share, barter, manage conflict, and ask for help so their needs can be met. They learn about acceptance, rejection, and compassion.
- Block Play: Child learns to balance blocks and line them up (small motor skills; coordination). They may count blocks, see pattern and design, learn to build & plan structure and match blocks that look alike– important pre-math skills.
- Dramatic Play: We love hats & shoes!! Children like & need to play adult roles. They develop their self-image and expression. Through role play, children decide appropriate dress and appearance; use visual perceptions to assist self, others, and play environment. Learn & remember behaviors to imitate. Develop abstract thinking abilities. Children dress themselves & can set up the play environment and find props.
- Books & Music: Helps kids listen and retain information by following storyline (sequencing) with eyes and/or ears. They learn patience, and how to sit still. Children recognize words, pictures, instruments, and rhythms–great pre-reading and math skills too!
- Outside Play, Climbing/Riding: Children may count the rings to the top of a climbing structure; plan their climb. They learn to map out direction and distance to ride: watch for others in the path. Kids build their large motor coordination, balance, and learn to take turns & interact with others.
- Putting Away Toys: Children practice their learned sorting skills and direction following. They can replace objects on the shelf, replace lids, open and shut doors. They learn cooperation & responsibility by taking turns and handling toys carefully.

We welcome children ages 5–10 during school breaks! We’ll make sure big kids have a sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget. So excited about our new adventures and we will be happy to see the kids!
We will make sure your child will have a fun time in a safe, nutritional environment.
