My son was attending Happy Stars Academy from the age of 3 to 4.5. He is now five and a half and has changed 3 other pre-schools as we have moved a lot. My son still talks about Happy Stars Academy as his all-time favorite school. I attribute that to the fact that Yulia and all the staff managed to provide a safe environment for my rather shy kid. Every day he spent at the daycare was filled with entertaining and educational activities. They had weekly themes that taught kids a bit about science and nature; made projects such as butterfly release, growing plants from seeds etc. It was also very important for me, as for a Russian speaker, to see that my kid had improved his Russian skills greatly during the time he spent at the daycare. He also learnt a great deal about the culture of my country through the holiday celebrations that Happy Stars Academy hosted on a regular basis. I would very much like to see Happy Stars Academy grow into something bigger and continue to help bring together the Russian community of Palm Coast and preserve cultural diversity while providing high quality daycare services.

Both of my children have attended her day care Happy Stars Academy. My children absolutely loved Mrs. Julia and her staff. They looked forward to the new exciting things they would learn each day. At this place teaching style and personal talents helped my daughter overcome her shyness. They taught my children how to develop social skills and to problem solve. Due to the family atmosphere, my children were able to make friends and interact in positive ways.
Children explore Mother Nature by caring for different animals and growing plants. They organize public events where all children from the community are welcomed. I highly recommend Happy Stars Academy to anyone who is looking for a daycare. I am so grateful to have met her and have had my children attend her daycare.

It is a true pleasure for me to write this letter of recommendation for Happy Stars Academy. Julia Golikova has been a primary caregiver for my daughter for close to 3 years since my daughter was 18 months old up until she went to VPK at the age of 4. Teachers as Happy Stars Academy provided my daughter with a loving, dedicated, and developmental environment. At this place I made sure that my daughter receives the most nutritional meal by providing home cooked breakfasts, lunches, and snacks. Happy Stars Academy put on little plays for parents for every occasion (Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving, 4th of July) and ensured my daughter participated in all of them. I have many scrap books filled with my daughter’s artwork from Happy Stars Academy. My daughter was able to continue the Russian tradition as they taught her traditional Russian songs, folk tales, and food. This place is an outstanding day care and learning center.

My daughter attended Happy Stars Academy for almost 4 years. She has been able to experience the pleasant, educating, and safe atmosphere of Happy Stars Academy with all staff. My daughter was always happy to attend Happy Stars Academy and I was always comfortable leaving my child there for the day. The best part of the program was the learning and activities in our native language, as well as having great homemade Russian food. My daughter still has fond memories of this place.
Even after graduating from daycare to go to school, we have attended multiple holiday events that were organized by Happy Stars Academy. All events are always entertaining, and full of activities and performances. Whenever someone asks me to recommend a daycare, I always mention Happy Stars Academy as my number one choice.
I believe it’s very important for a child to keep their native language and to get to know their native culture. Having a bilingual educational center would be very beneficial in that pursuit and a great advantage for a community that has a large Russian population.

I have 4 children, of all different ages, who all attended Happy Stars Academy over the past 14 years. Staff is wonderful, caring, attentive, patient and amazing with kids. They take time to teach kids not only language skills but also behavior attributes like being kind, polite, and friendly. They have themed weeks where they teach about insects, animals, occupations, holidays and other important basic knowledge.
I think it’s so important for children to be able to learn multiple languages and practice their abilities on a daily basis. And celebrate their achievements.
My children were always happy at daycare. They looked forward to going every day. They always looked forward to different activities, playing with friends, singing, dancing, celebrating birthdays and holidays. I loved that everyday every child brought home whatever work they did, whether it was a drawing or art and crafts project.
I can say many wonderful things about the day care and the women that work there. From the morning at drop off, they greet children and welcome them with smiles and warmth to the moment it’s time to pick up, they both are there making sure children are well cared for.
All my kids loved Happy Stars Academy and when it was graduation time, it was always bittersweet and no one wanted to leave.
